Practice areas
Ten areas, covered in house
Each area below sets out what we are actually engaged to do. If your matter sits across two of them, that is common, and it is one thing worth raising in a first call.
Corporate Law
Company formation, contracts, governance, and the paperwork a growing business runs on.
We act for private companies and LLPs from incorporation through fundraising and exit. That covers the constitutional documents, the commercial contracts that carry revenue, and the board and shareholder process that keeps decisions defensible later.
For Companies, LLPs, and promoter groups
What we are engaged to do
- Incorporation, conversion, and closure
- Shareholder and joint venture agreements
- Commercial contracts and vendor terms
- Board process, minutes, and statutory registers
- Due diligence for investment and acquisition
Property Law
Title checks, sale documentation, and the diligence that should happen before money moves.
Property disputes usually begin with a document nobody read closely. We examine title flow, encumbrance, approvals, and possession before a transaction closes, and we act in disputes where that groundwork was missed.
For Buyers, sellers, developers, and landowners
What we are engaged to do
- Title search and encumbrance review
- Sale deeds, agreements to sell, and gift deeds
- Development and joint development agreements
- RERA filings and complaints
- Partition, possession, and injunction matters
Family Law
Marriage, separation, guardianship, and succession handled with discretion.
Family matters carry consequences that outlast the file. We work quietly, explain the realistic range of what a court can order, and prefer settlement where settlement holds.
For Individuals and families
What we are engaged to do
- Mutual consent and contested divorce
- Maintenance and custody arrangements
- Guardianship and adoption process
- Wills, probate, and letters of administration
- Family settlements and partition
Civil Litigation
Recovery, contract, and property disputes before trial courts, High Courts, and tribunals.
We take a position on the merits before filing, not after. Where a matter is weak we say so early, and where it is worth pursuing we prepare the record properly at the trial stage because that is what an appellate court reads.
For Businesses and individuals in dispute
What we are engaged to do
- Suits for recovery and damages
- Specific performance and injunction
- Written statements and counter claims
- Execution and attachment proceedings
- Appeals and revision petitions
Criminal Defence
Bail, anticipatory bail, quashing, and trial defence in economic and general offences.
We appear at every stage from the first notice under Section 35 through trial. Early intervention matters more than anything that follows, so we take calls on criminal matters outside office hours.
For Accused persons, complainants, and companies
What we are engaged to do
- Anticipatory and regular bail
- Quashing petitions before the High Court
- Representation during investigation and notice
- Trial defence and cross examination
- Economic offence and cheque dishonour matters
Taxation
Direct and indirect tax advice, assessments, and appeals up to the tribunal.
Most tax exposure is created at the transaction stage and discovered years later. We advise on structure before the event, and represent clients through faceless assessment, appeal, and tribunal where an assessment is already on the table.
For Companies, professionals, and NRIs
What we are engaged to do
- Transaction structuring and opinions
- Faceless assessment and reassessment
- GST registration, audit, and show cause replies
- Appeals before Commissioner and Tribunal
- Withholding tax on cross border payments
Arbitration
Domestic and institutional arbitration from clause drafting through award enforcement.
An arbitration clause written carelessly can cost more than the dispute it was meant to resolve. We draft clauses that work, conduct the reference itself, and act in Section 9, 11, 34, and 37 proceedings before the courts.
For Contracting parties and institutions
What we are engaged to do
- Arbitration and dispute resolution clauses
- Emergency and interim relief under Section 9
- Appointment applications under Section 11
- Conduct of the reference and pleadings
- Challenge and enforcement of awards
Intellectual Property
Trade marks, copyright, and the agreements that decide who owns what.
Ownership disputes are usually contractual, not technical. We register and defend rights, and we make sure founder, employee, and contractor agreements actually assign what the business assumes it owns.
For Brands, studios, and technology businesses
What we are engaged to do
- Trade mark search, filing, and prosecution
- Opposition and rectification proceedings
- Copyright and software licensing
- Assignment and technology transfer
- Infringement notices and passing off actions
Startup Legal Services
Founder terms, ESOP, fundraising documents, and staying compliant while moving quickly.
Early stage companies need the right documents at the right time and nothing more. We keep the paperwork proportionate to the stage, and flag the small number of decisions that are genuinely hard to reverse later.
For Founders and early stage companies
What we are engaged to do
- Founders agreements and vesting
- ESOP pool design and grant documents
- SAFE, CCPS, and share subscription rounds
- Term sheet review and negotiation
- Ongoing secretarial and compliance calendar
Employment Law
Contracts, workplace policy, exits, and internal complaints handled properly.
Employment risk concentrates at two moments, hiring and exit. We prepare documents that hold at both ends, and we run or advise on internal committee process where a complaint has been raised.
For Employers and senior employees
What we are engaged to do
- Employment contracts and offer letters
- Handbooks and workplace policy
- POSH committee constitution and inquiry
- Termination, settlement, and release
- Labour registrations and returns

Not sure which of these your matter falls into?
Most matters do not arrive neatly labelled. Describe the situation and we will tell you what it is, and whether it is something we should be handling.
